Leland Melvin is a former astronaut. He is only person drafted into the National Football League to have flown in space. After his career in space he was appointed head of NASA Education and served as the co-chair on the White House’s Federal Coordination in Science. Leland  was chosen as an ICON MANN who are selected for their ability to inspire people of all ages through their vision and commitment to creating positive change throughout the world. Join us for a discussion of his autobiography Chasing Space facilitated by PMHS Science Honor Society and Science Research Students. This event is virtual on Monday November 13th at 7pm.
